Dr. Uhuru Smith, MD
Dr. Uhuru Smith began her path to medicine while finishing her undergraduate and graduate education at The University of Pennsylvania. She worked continuously doing research in the Emergency Department and through the Department of Clinical Medicine while nurturing a strong interest in complimentary and nutritional medicine. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Smith completed her Medical Doctorate at Georgetown University with career pursuits in Anesthesiology. She completed her residency at the University of Florida in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. She is a board certified Anesthesiologist practicing in the private sector doing a large mix of complex and routine surgeries in both children and adults. She is currently on staff at two local hospitals as well as the Chief of Anesthesiology at a local surgery center. Dr. Smith also serves on the University of Pennsylvania’s undergraduate college entrance committee. Dr. Smith has strong personal interests in education, pharmacology, and complimentary medicine as adjunct to allopathic medicine.
Melissa Golden, MBA, PhD Candidate
Melissa Golden is a seasoned professional with experience in natural healthcare facilities including time in nursing homes, hospitals, chiropractic clinics, functional medicine clinics, bioidentical hormone replacement, and regenerative medicine such as stem cell therapy and PRP. She has a four year old son, and lives in Tampa, Florida. Although she was not born in Florida, she moved here over ten years ago and made it her home. With a background in nursing, biology, business, and psychology she is able to properly educate patients on the benefits of stem cell therapy. As the director of Stemcellix, it is her mission to educate about the benefits of stem cell therapy help patients understand there are treatments available to them that do not require invasive surgeries or drugs. Ms. Golden holds a master’s degree, and is currently pursuing a PhD. She has received over 30 post graduate hours in stem cell training. She has a passion for helping others and revolutionizing health care to be patient-centered. As the resident scientist and director of Stemcellix, she is heavily involved with every patient case that is treated. It is her philosophy that in order to truly treat a condition, you must understand the mechanism of the disease and treat the source, not the symptom.
Sherice Reddick, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C
Sherice Reddick is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and currently licensed to practice in the state of Florida. She was raised in New York and has five children. She has over a decade of healthcare experience ranging from office, hospital, nursing home, and home-based care. She has received specialized training in functional medicine, herbal medicine, weight loss, and regenerative medicine. She has a true passion for stem cell therapy and the leaps and bounds regenerative medicine has taken in the past years. As the chief of nursing at Stemcellix, it is her responsibility to thoroughly examine patients’ health history and provide distinct and prognosis. Sherice believes in forging relationships with patients and families to gain a true understanding of their individualized health needs, as well as goals to promote the best possible health outcomes.
Lawrence Legend, MBA
Lawrence Legend holds a undergraduate degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in business. He is a California native with a passion for health and fitness. His fitness journey began over twenty years ago when he began serving in the US Air force. His career has been a variety of personal training, nutrition counseling, mortgage brokering, and relationship management. He is passionate about athletics, fitness, health, and veteran support. As our athletic outreach director, he is responsible for assessing athletes, recruiting, and building relationships with our local talent. Lawrence is thrilled about stem cell therapy at Stemcellix because he is also a patient! PRP and stem cells healed a torn bicep muscle and a torn meniscus in the knee. Within weeks of treatment at Stemcellix he was able to perform squat exercises and full extension of the arm with the bicep injury. He understands body mechanics and the common injuries sustained in an active athletic lifestyle. Lawrence aspires to extend the career of athletes and improve the quality of life of active individuals in the Tampa Bay.
